My Vision

MY VISION AS SHERIFF OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

Once elected as Sheriff of Indian River County, it's essential to have a defined mission for the agency. The mission will be to protect the residents and businesses of our county as well as give the highest level of professional law enforcement services possible.

I will promote advanced training to our employees, because I believe that a well educated employee is a more confident employee. It's essential to understand and address employee needs.

I will foster harmony among all local, state and federal law enforcement agencies that exist within Indian River County. I currently have sound relationships with over a dozen police and sheriff's departments in our region.

I will exercise fiscal responsibility by utilizing Performance Based Budgeting practices. I pledge to exhaust all available means to obtain state and federal grant funding. Revenues will be increased by means of ethical and legal forfeiture and seizure practices.

I will make certain the Indian River County Sheriff's Office stays ahead of the trends in gang crimes, growth related crimes and juvenile delinquency. Maintaining safe schools for our children and neighborhoods are always a top priority.

I will bring my expertise in Emergency Management to our county in times of crisis. I have extensive experience in natural disaster relief efforts as well as homeland security for our Treasure Coast region. I have the good fortune of working with numerous local, state and federal organizations; so when needed, I can reach out to many resources and contacts to expedite our county's recovery.

I will promote and grow the Crimes Against Seniors program in Indian River County. We will arrest criminals who use computer technology to attack our identities or solicit crimes against our children.

I will stay in tune with growth related traffic issues as our county expands. School zones, traffic flow and dangerous intersections will be monitored. The Indian River County Sheriff's Office must be accessible to its citizens for their concerns on traffic, crime and personnel issues. I will create various avenues for such dialog.
